The Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) has taken a firm stance against illegal fundraising activities linked to the esteemed Sabarimala shrine. On Thursday, TDB confirmed the appointment of a Sabarimala sponsorship coordinator aiming to eliminate unauthorized collection of sponsorship money.
This decision emerged following reports of individuals from other states falsely claiming association with the Sabarimala Devaswom to illicitly gather funds. In an official statement, TDB emphasized that it had not endorsed any such fundraising efforts, categorizing them as illicit.
To address the issue, TDB has designated its Public Relations Officer, G S Arun, as the coordinator, alongside assistant coordinator, P Vijayakumar. Donations should be directed through official coordinators, the Sabarimala sannidhanam executive office, or the TDB headquarters, ensuring legitimacy either directly or via the official TDB website.
