A daring heist unfolded at a government officer's residence in central Delhi while the official and his family were on an international vacation. Police revealed that the family had left for Spain and Italy on June 13, planning to return on June 29, when they uncovered the robbery.
The incident came to light when the homeowner's domestic help, Janki, discovered the broken main door. She promptly alerted the officer while he was at the Abu Dhabi airport. Upon his directive, the residential guard, Manish Kumar, checked the premises, finding a ransacked house.
The stolen items reported included valuable gold jewellery and large sums of cash. The police suspicion falls on an insider familiar with the house. Crime and forensic teams are working diligently, analyzing CCTV footage to identify the culprit behind the audacious theft.
