Abubacker Siddique and Mohammed Ali, the suspects, have been implicated in several bomb blasts across South India. Notably, Siddique is accused of involvement in a 2011 bomb plot targeting BJP veteran L K Advani. Their capture followed a collaborative effort between Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh police, highlighting the serious security threat they posed.
