An Uzbek national has been arrested for allegedly stealing three luxury handbags from the baggage belt at Indira Gandhi International Airport, police revealed.

Official sources confirmed that Mayramkan Karabasheva Alibaevna, 60, was apprehended on July 18 upon her return to India. The arrest follows a look out circular issued by Delhi Police based on a theft complaint from Gurugram resident Ishita Kullar.

CCTV footage showed Karabasheva removing the handbags and exiting the terminal swiftly. The bags were later traced to a hotel in Paharganj, leading to the suspect's identification and subsequent confession.
