In a distressing development from Odisha's Jajpur district, a 15-year-old girl has alleged that she was raped by four individuals, including her hockey coaches. This troubling incident reportedly took place on the evening of July 3 but was brought to light only after the victim filed a complaint on Monday.
According to law enforcement, the girl had been training at the Jajpur hockey stadium for two years. On the evening of the incident, the girl was allegedly abducted by her coach and two associates while en route home. They reportedly took her to a lodge where she was sexually assaulted.
The accused allegedly threatened the girl with murder should she disclose the incident. Following her complaint, police registered a case under relevant sections of the BNS and POCSO Act, detaining the suspects. The survivor has provided her statement in court, with ongoing legal proceedings.
