In a significant breakthrough, three individuals were apprehended in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, for their alleged involvement in a plot to incite communal violence, according to a police statement.
Reports indicate that provocative audio and video clips, falsely depicting violence by Bajrang Dal members, were circulated on social media platforms. These clips featured fabricated scenes of brutality, aiming to stir unrest among communities.
The arrested suspects, identified as Nadeem, Rahees, and Mansher, had previously shared the misleading content across several WhatsApp groups. A forensic evaluation of the seized mobile devices is underway to trace further links in this conspiracy. Authorities emphasize their swift action has possibly prevented a significant terror plot.
