Top police officials convened a strategic meeting on Monday aimed at fortifying the security setup for the forthcoming Budha Amarnath Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district. With a keen focus on seamless execution, officials stressed the implementation of foolproof security measures for this significant pilgrimage.
The 13-day Budha Amarnath pilgrimage, set to commence on July 28 from Jammu's Bhagwati Nagar base camp and conclude on August 9, has been a focal point of security discussions. Sarah Rezvi, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police for the Udhampur-Reasi range, chaired the high-level meeting in Sunderbani, underscoring the importance of inter-agency coordination and round-the-clock monitoring.
During the meeting, which included prominent figures like DIG Shiv Kumar Sharma and other district police chiefs, discussions revolved around the need for comprehensive security strategies, real-time communication, and meticulous traffic management to ensure a peaceful and safe yatra experience. The Budha Amarnath Yatra is viewed as a symbol of communal harmony, and authorities are committed to its smooth and secure execution.
