On Monday evening, four individuals acquitted by the Bombay High Court in the notorious 7/11 train blasts case were released from Amravati Central Jail. Among them, Suhail Sheikh reaffirmed his innocence, lauding the judiciary and the government for upholding justice.

The others freed include Tanvir Ahmed Mohammad Ibrahim Ansari, Mohammad Majid Shafi, and Zamir Ahmed Latifur Rehman Sheikh, who had been incarcerated in Amravati jail since 2015. Expressing relief, Sheikh stated they believed in the judiciary and were grateful for the acquittal.

The 2006 Mumbai train bombings had caused over 180 fatalities, but 19 years later, the High Court proclaimed the prosecution's case insufficient, leading to the release of all 12 accused parties.
