In a heart-wrenching incident, the bodies of three minors were found in a 12-foot-deep, water-filled pit near their village in Uttar Pradesh's Basti district on Tuesday, as confirmed by local police.

The young victims, all from Lohrauli village, were reported missing Monday evening. Identified as eight-year-old Virat Vishwakarma, ten-year-old Aditya Vishwakarma, and seven-year-old Ayush Vishwakarma, they disappeared after leaving home on bicycles around 6 pm, according to officials.

A diligent search was conducted following a missing report, culminating in the grim discovery after villagers noticed bodies in the pit. Superintendent of Police Abhinandan verified that the cause of death for these minors was drowning.
