A Maharashtra government official has been embroiled in controversy, with allegations of illicit surveillance and harassment leveled by his wife. The woman, also a government employee, claims her husband clandestinely installed cameras in their bedroom and bathroom to capture her private moments.
The accusations extend to include mental and physical abuse, as well as dowry demands of Rs 1.5 lakh from her parents. According to a police officer from the Ambegaon station, the woman reported being beaten when she refused to meet the financial demands.
A formal complaint has led to charges against the husband, his mother, three sisters-in-law, and two brothers-in-law. The allegations have triggered a police probe under various sections concerning cruelty and causing injury. Investigations continue as authorities seek justice for the victim.
