Police in Rajasthan's Khairthal district have successfully solved a heartbreaking case involving the murder of a five-year-old boy. The child, Lokesh, was allegedly killed by his own uncle, Manoj, who confessed to the crime during police interrogation, according to a statement made on Tuesday.
According to the police, Manoj reportedly murdered Lokesh in a desperate attempt to reunite with his estranged wife, following guidance from a local tantrik. The tantrik, identified as Sunil Kumar, allegedly demanded a sum of Rs 12,000 and the sacrificial offering of a child to perform a ritual aimed at reconciliation.
The gruesome incident occurred when Manoj lured Lokesh to an abandoned building, where he allegedly murdered the child and concealed the body. Following a detailed investigation, growing suspicions led to Manoj's arrest, and he eventually admitted to the crime and revealed the tantrik's involvement. Both Manoj and the tantrik are now in police custody.
