Diplomatic Exchange: Russian Soldiers Return Home
Two Russian soldiers received medical care and were handed over by Ukrainian authorities to be returned home via Belarus. The exchange follows agreements from meetings aimed at addressing the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, although significant progress towards ending the conflict has yet to be made.

In a significant diplomatic move, Ukrainian authorities returned two Russian soldiers needing medical attention to Russia via Belarus, the Russian Defence Ministry disclosed on Tuesday. This exchange is part of a broader agreement reached during recent bilateral meetings aimed at resolving the ongoing conflict.
The soldiers were transported to Belarus, a key ally of Moscow, where they are currently receiving medical care before they make their return journey to Russia. This handover signifies a cooperative effort in line with agreements established during talks between Russian and Ukrainian representatives aimed at mitigating conflict.
Despite agreements on prisoner and remains exchanges, the Istanbul meetings have yet to achieve notable progress towards a resolution of the more than three-year-old conflict. A subsequent meeting is scheduled to take place in Turkey, continuing diplomatic efforts.
