A Maharashtra government officer claims her husband installed hidden cameras in their bedroom and bathroom, seeking to capture intimate moments. She further alleges harassment over a dowry demand of Rs 1.5 lakh, police sources revealed on Tuesday.
The 31-year-old woman reported that her husband, also serving in a government capacity, demanded the sum to cover car installment payments. When she refused to procure the money from her family, she was subjected to beatings, according to the complaint.
Law enforcement officials have registered a case against the husband, as well as his mother and sisters, under sections related to harassment and assault within the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The investigation is currently ongoing.
