Scandalous Conversion Plot: The Chhangur Baba Case

A shocking case has emerged out of Balrampur, where a man named Jyotirgmay Rai has alleged coercion for religious conversion. Rai claims he was brainwashed by Jamaluddin, also known as Chhangur Baba, who threatened to kill his daughters, to convert to Islam.

The police have arrested Chhangur Baba following serious allegations of targeting multiple communities and reportedly maintaining a 'conversion rate list'. Officials confirmed that a full investigation is underway, led by the Uttar Pradesh Police Anti-Terrorism Squad.

Tensions rose when Rai discovered that his wife, whom he married under the name Ishita, was actually Afreen from a Muslim family. He alleges that upon the birth of their second daughter, Afreen's family pressured him to convert, leading to the unfolding of this tragic sequence of events. Authorities are continuing their investigation.
