Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has tightened its security protocols following a warning from the Union Education Ministry regarding a potential terrorist threat, according to a senior official's statement on Wednesday.
AMU Proctor Mohammad Waseem Ali informed PTI that the university has increased checks at entry points, ensuring all feasible security measures are enforced within available resources. He also indicated plans to discuss these arrangements with district authorities.
Simultaneously, a senior police official mentioned that once approached by the university, the police would assess the situation to fortify preparations on their end.
