In a significant move to address pension-related issues, more than 55,000 grievances have been resolved through the Centralised Pension Grievances Redress and Monitoring System (CPENGRAMS) within the first half of 2025. This was announced by Union Minister Jitendra Singh in the Lok Sabha.
Singh highlighted that the Ministry of Defence, Department of Financial Services, and the Ministry of Railways recorded the largest volume of grievances during this period. The minister further shared that from a total of 63,310 grievances, over 55,554 have been addressed.
The government has reduced the average grievance redressal time from 35 days in January to 20 days in July by streamlining processes. Initiatives like thematic adalats, inter-ministerial reviews, and focused capacity building are central to this improvement.
