In a startling case from Uttarakhand, police have booked a man accused of deceiving a Hindu woman by posing as a Hindu online and subsequently forcing her into Islam, compelling her to eat beef, and driving her into prostitution.

Officials revealed that the victim, originally from Kolkata, claimed she encountered the man, who identified as 'Rajveer', on social media a year ago. Believing him to be Hindu, she was led into a relationship under the promise of marriage.

The victim discovered his real name, Bakhtawar, during her stay in Uttar Pradesh, after which she alleged he forcefully converted her to Islam and involved her with the 'Chhangur Baba gang'. Police have initiated an FIR, and efforts to apprehend the suspect are underway.
