In a tragic turn of events, a DJ truck carrying kanwariyas struck a hanging power line in Rajasthan's Alwar district, resulting in the deaths of two individuals, with 30 others sustaining injuries. The disturbing incident unfolded during a parikrama in Beechganwa village.
The tragic event unleashed a wave of protests from irate locals, who blamed the electricity department for failing to rectify the precarious power line. The demonstration, which obstructed the Laxmangarh-Mundawar road, concluded following assurances from local authorities.
Officials, including Forest Minister Sanjay Sharma, have pledged thorough investigations and ensured proper medical care for the injured devotees at the hospital. The local administration, however, appears to have been unaware of any previous complaints about the power line.
