Supreme Court Intervenes in 7/11 Train Blasts Acquittals
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde expressed gratitude to the Supreme Court for staying the Bombay High Court's acquittal of 12 accused in the 7/11 train blasts case. Despite their acquittal, the Supreme Court ruled the decision should not set a precedent, allowing the accused to remain out of jail.

Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde, has expressed his appreciation for the Supreme Court's decision to stay the Bombay High Court's controversial acquittal of 12 accused in the 2006 train blasts case.
The Bombay High Court had previously acquitted all accused, citing a lack of convincing evidence presented by the prosecution. However, this decision was haltered by the Supreme Court, which noted that the High Court's ruling was not to be used as a precedent.
Celebrating the Supreme Court's decision, Shinde extended congratulations to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, administrative officials, and Solicitor General Tushar Mehta for their swift action in appealing the high court verdict.
