In a shocking incident in Deepola village, Jaipur, a man allegedly threw his 18-month-old son into a borewell, claiming the child was dead, police reported on Thursday. The father, Lalit, was reportedly disturbed by his son's illness and domestic issues, including his spouse's absence.
Police and locals were alerted to the incident after Lalit confided in his brother about the act. A rescue operation commenced immediately, utilizing cameras lowered into the borewell to ascertain the child's condition. It remains unclear if the toddler survived.
Station House Officer Jamwa Ramgarh Rampal Sharma stated that Lalit had visited a doctor for his son and later expressed frustration over his wife's prolonged stay at her parental home. Lalit is currently in detention and being questioned about the incident.
