In a shocking incident, a man was arrested in Kolkata's Watgunj area for allegedly raping a woman under false pretenses. He had promised legal help to secure the release of her husband, who is currently imprisoned.
The arrest was made by officers from the Park Street police station after the woman filed a complaint about a month ago, stating that the accused posed as an Armyman.
The police are now investigating the accused's movements across the city and gathering technical and electronic evidence as they delve deeper into the case.
