During a commission meeting, FCC Chair Brendan Carr expressed satisfaction with Skydance's commitments regarding significant changes at CBS. These include a decision to end diversity programs and the appointment of an ombudsman for at least two years to address bias complaints in CBS News programming.
Despite Carr's positive remarks, the FCC has yet to reach a final decision on whether to approve the merger. The agency's ongoing review will continue, with careful consideration of the proposed changes and their potential impact.
