A 62-year-old woman was fatally attacked by stray dogs in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, while working in her field on Thursday, according to police reports. The incident, which took place in Salavatnagar village, involved Munni Devi, wife of Hukm Singh, who was weeding a paddy field when the attack occurred.

Circle Officer Rajesh Solanki confirmed that the dogs severely injured Devi, tearing at her body and scalp. Although villagers attempted to save her after hearing her cries and managed to drive off the dogs, she had already suffered fatal injuries.

Post-mortem examination of the body is underway to gather more information surrounding this tragic incident, Solanki added.
