Non-Bailable Warrant Issued Against Union Minister in Poll Code Violation Case

A special court has issued a non-bailable warrant against Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar for not appearing in court in a case related to a violation of the election code of conduct.

The warrant was issued by the designated MP-MLA court, which has scheduled the next hearing on July 30. According to sources close to the minister, Kumar was unable to attend due to his commitments in the ongoing Parliament session.

The case pertains to events during the Huzurabad assembly constituency bypoll in 2021, leading to legal proceedings against Kumar. A recall petition is anticipated to be filed shortly.
