In a bid to bolster security and economic ties, Australia's and Britain's top defence and foreign ministers gathered in Sydney on Friday. The meeting's central theme was the enhancement of the AUKUS nuclear submarine partnership, a key alliance between the two nations.

A major focus during the talks was the advancement of trade relations and the progression of the AUKUS initiative, which envisions the construction of a new class of nuclear-powered submarines. This comes as the United States reviews the trilateral agreement, urging Australia to heighten defence expenditures against China's growing influence in the Indo-Pacific region.

Accompanied by a substantial treaty, the partnership is projected to generate up to 20 billion pounds in British exports over 25 years. As part of these efforts, following ministerial consultations, the officials will visit Darwin for the Talisman Sabre war games, involving 40,000 troops from 19 countries, showcasing unified military strength.
