Errol Musk, father of Elon Musk, explored Bosnia as a potential site for a research institute on gravity and space-time. Meanwhile, Innovative Rocket Technologies plans to go public through a $400 million SPAC deal, highlighting a resurgence in SPAC transactions in 2025 amid economic uncertainties.

South African businessman Errol Musk, known for being the father of Elon Musk, visited Bosnia to evaluate its potential for establishing a research hub focused on gravity and space-time exploration. His interest in Bosnia came after considering Dubai as a possible location for this ambitious venture.
Musk, a seasoned engineer who has had a contentious relationship with his son, has been motivated by advice from a friend with Balkan roots, who suggested the location due to its favorable conditions for such initiatives.
In other space industry news, Innovative Rocket Technologies, or iRocket, announced going public in the United States through a $400 million SPAC merger with BPGC Acquisition. This move marks a comeback for SPAC deals in 2025, which had previously slowed down due to various economic challenges.
