The old school building, located in a region recently hit by heavy rainfall, gave way during morning prayers. "There were 25-30 children in the room when the roof fell," Rajasthan education minister Madan Dilawar told AajTak news channel.
Rescue operations remain ongoing with local authorities employing cranes to remove debris. Meanwhile, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma assured proper medical treatment for the injured. Some of the injuries are reported to be critical, further heightening concerns.
