The Indian embassy in Thailand has issued a travel advisory for its nationals, cautioning against visiting seven provinces due to increased tensions near the Thailand-Cambodia border.
Following violent clashes that erupted on Thursday, which led to significant casualties, the advisory emphasized the importance of verifying information from official Thai sources.
The affected provinces include Ubon Ratchathani, Surin, Sisaket, Buriram, Sa Kaeo, Chanthaburi, and Trat, where several attractions are currently deemed unsafe for tourists, according to the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
