Outcry Over Alleged Rape of Dalit Girl in Bihar

A Dalit girl in Muzaffarpur district, Bihar, has reportedly been raped by the owner of a mobile repair shop and his employee. The police confirmed the arrests of the suspects on Monday.
According to the police statement, the girl was last seen on Saturday when she went to repair her phone in Aurai area. Her father lodged a missing person complaint after she failed to return home.
Following an intensive search, police discovered her unconscious with head injuries some distance from her village. Both suspects have been booked under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Local Congress leaders have intervened to ensure the victim receives necessary medical care.
