In a heroic act of bravery and solidarity, seven Indian workers were honored by Singapore's Ministry of Manpower for their lifesaving efforts on Tanjong Katong Road South. The quick-thinking group came to the aid of a driver whose car had unexpectedly plunged into a deadly sinkhole.
The migrant heroes — Pitchai Udaiyappan Subbiah, Velmurugan, Saravanan, Veerasekar, Ajithkumar, Chandrisekaran, and Rajendran — were each awarded the distinguished 'MOM Ace coin' by Minister of State for Manpower, Dinesh Vasu Dash. The heartfelt acknowledgment came during a dormitory visit by the minister post their day's work.
Minister Dash, in his Facebook video, acclaimed the workers for their selfless dedication and highlighted their vital contributions not only to Singapore's economy but also to fostering a compassionate community. This act of courage significantly altered the course of what could have been a tragic event.
