In a swift police operation, two individuals in Kairana town, Shamli district, have been arrested for allegedly spreading false rumours about drone sightings, according to police reports on Monday.
Station House Officer Dharmendra Singh revealed that locals alerted authorities on Sunday night about drones flying near Barat Ghar. However, no evidence of such activity was found. Subsequently, Asif and Mohammad Sahib were arrested for making a hoax call to the emergency control room, causing unwarranted panic.
The incident is the latest in a series of reported drone sightings in various villages across western Uttar Pradesh, raising safety concerns. Authorities urge the public to remain cautious and report any suspicious activity to ensure accurate information dissemination.
