In Jharkhand's Dhanbad district, a man named Nityanand Pal has been apprehended for allegedly sending a threat message to Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth, according to police on Monday.

Pal was taken into custody at Dhanbad railway station. Originating from Pindrajora in the Bokaro district, he had been residing in Vishanpur, within the Hariharpur police station's jurisdiction.

On July 26, Pal reportedly made a threatening call and sent a life-threatening message to Minister Seth's mobile number, prompting a complaint at the Pandra outpost in Ranchi. Ranchi's SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha disclosed that during interrogation, Pal revealed he was motivated by his financial difficulties, aiming to raise funds for his daughter's wedding. The accused, previously jailed for molestation, confessed to threatening influential people for money, often while under the influence of alcohol.
