Operation Sindoor, a significant military initiative, underscored India's defense self-reliance by successfully deploying previously untested systems like the Akash and BrahMos missiles, according to General Officer Commanding of Golden Katar Division, Major General Gaurav Bagga.

The operation was launched in response to the April 22 Pahalgam attack, resulting in the destruction of terror infrastructure in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir and Pakistan itself. Of the nine identified terrorist command centers, seven were destroyed by the Indian Army and two by the Indian Air Force, neutralizing 102 terrorists. Bagga highlighted the success in proving India's atmanirbharata, or self-reliance, in defense.

Bagga also emphasized the effective testing of drone and anti-drone systems. Operation Sindoor, ongoing and poised for further action, revealed the robustness of India's armed forces. Bagga expressed concern over Pakistan's military actions, attributed to internal turmoil, while noting India's restraint in targeting only terror infrastructure.
