Mahadevappa emphasized that the Congress administration is committed to following the state's Sub-Plan and Tribal Sub-Plan Act to improve SC/ST welfare, a claim bolstered by Karnataka's leading per capita income.
Highlighting past BJP practices, Mahadevappa accused them of misusing funds and shirking duties in implementing internal reservations for SC/STs, drawing attention to dismissive remarks made by BJP MPs on the matter.
