Gurugram Man Arrested for Extortion in Fake Misconduct Case

In a shocking case from Gurugram, police have detained Chandan Jha, accused of extorting money by falsely threatening a neighbor. The purported crime involved claims against the neighbor's father, alleging inappropriate behavior towards Jha's daughter.
The case unfolded following a complaint lodged at Sector 10 police station on July 23. The distressed neighbor allegedly paid Rs 1 lakh out of fear, but subsequent demands of Rs 3 lakh led him to report the crime.
The police promptly arrested Jha on July 26, recovering Rs 94,000. Following legal proceedings, Jha was placed in judicial custody, while authorities continue their investigation into the matter.
