An attendant of AIIMS-Bhubaneswar has filed a police complaint, alleging sexual harassment by a male nursing officer, according to officials.
The victim, who was hired through an outsourcing agency, began a protest with her colleagues at the hospital's main gate, demanding action against the accused.
She claimed that the officer inappropriately touched her after summoning her to a doctor's chamber late on Sunday night. Despite informing hospital authorities, the victim was advised to contact law enforcement.
Police are investigating the allegations and stated that action will follow once initial evidence is reviewed. Meanwhile, the accused officer remains at large.
Officials have registered a case under the relevant sections pertaining to sexual offenses, but AIIMS-Bhubaneswar has not issued a statement regarding the incident.
