Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has taken a firm step in enhancing the operational efficiency of Delhi's government by mandating monthly progress reports from departmental heads. According to official sources, this directive aims to ensure smooth execution and timely completion of government schemes, projects, and programmes.
The requirement calls for additional chief secretaries and secretaries to submit detailed action and progress reports by the 28th of each month. This initiative is designed to improve public service delivery and boost government machinery performance, supported by regular meetings with ministers to assess departmental progress.
The Chief Minister's Office plans to review these progress reports, utility guiding subsequent instructions and potentially introducing course corrections where needed, a senior officer from the Delhi government explained.
