Security forces have successfully eliminated three terrorists responsible for the Pahalgam attack, Union Home Minister Amit Shah reported in the Lok Sabha. The joint operation, named Operation Mahadev, occurred near Srinagar and was carried out by the Army, CRPF, and Jammu and Kashmir Police.
The terrorists, identified as Suleman alias Faizal, Afghani, and Jibran, were linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba, a notorious terrorist organization. All three were instrumental in the horrific attack on civilians in the Baisaran valley.
The forensic examination of recovered weapons confirmed their involvement. Pakistani connections were evident, with voter IDs and chocolates found on the terrorists. Shah described the attack as barbaric, mourned the loss of civilians, and noted damage to cultural sites due to Pakistani shelling.
