A tragic workplace accident claimed the life of a truck driver at the Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) facility in Amethi district. On Tuesday, Prahlad Yadav, aged 34, was struck by an iron sheet that slipped from a hydra machine while he was loading materials, according to local police reports.

The unfortunate incident occurred as Yadav, a resident of Siswa village in the Azamgarh district, was engaged in his routine duties. The sudden fall of the sheet inflicted severe injuries, leading to an immediate response from his colleagues who rushed him to the Jagdishpur Community Health Centre.

Despite swift medical attention, doctors at the CHC declared Yadav dead upon arrival. Jagdishpur Station House Officer Dhirendra Yadav confirmed that the body has been sent for postmortem as authorities proceed with legal formalities to understand the circumstances leading to this tragic event.
