In a dramatic turn of events, law enforcement has cracked a murder case stemming from a mobile phone snatching gone wrong in southeast Delhi. A defective headlight played a pivotal role in leading the police to apprehend the perpetrators, authorities confirmed on Tuesday.
The suspects, Mohsin, Deepak Suryavanshi, and Himanshu, were tracked down after an intensive investigation involving over 1,000 CCTV feeds. The breakthrough occurred when police identified a scooter with a defective headlight seen circling the crime area prior to the fatal stabbing of 25-year-old Makbul Akaram.
During interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime, admitting they were under the influence of drugs and had planned the attack the previous night. Police recovered the murder weapon, the victim's phone, and the scooter used during the incident. Investigations revealed Himanshu had prior criminal cases, whereas Noor and Deepak did not.
