In a tragic accident, six Kanwariyas lost their lives, and 24 others were injured in Jharkhand's Deoghar district as a bus carrying devotees collided with a truck loaded with cooking gas cylinders.
The mishap occurred near the Jamuniya forest under Mohanpur Police Station limits around 5.30 am. The collision caused significant casualties among the pilgrims, prompting widespread concern and immediate government intervention.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, expressing deep sorrow for the loss of lives, announced an ex gratia of Rs 2 lakh for the families of the deceased, underscoring the tragic impact on the native Bihar community.
