Historic Win at the Allahabad High Court Bar Association Elections
Rakesh Pandey and Akhilesh Kumar Sharma have been elected president and secretary, respectively, of the Allahabad High Court Bar Association. Pandey secured the position for a third term, winning by 193 votes. The election witnessed 85% voter turnout, with results declared after six days of counting.

In a closely contested election, Rakesh Pandey and Akhilesh Kumar Sharma have emerged as the new president and secretary of the Allahabad High Court Bar Association (HCBA). This marks Pandey's third term in the leadership position.
Held on July 23, the elections saw active participation from the legal community, with 8,773 lawyers casting their votes, accounting for an 85% turnout. The counting process, which spanned six days, was overseen by a team led by Chief Returning Officer Radha Kant Ojha.
Pandey narrowly defeated his competitor CP Upadhyay by 193 votes, securing 2,121 votes compared to Upadhyay's 1,928. Meanwhile, Akhilesh Kumar Sharma won the secretary post with a formidable lead of 937 votes against Ray Sahab Yadav. Further results for the remaining 26 positions of office-bearers are expected to be declared shortly.
