Police in Navi Mumbai have filed a case against three women who worked as domestic helps for allegedly stealing gold jewellery, biscuits, and coins worth Rs 85.5 lakh. The theft, involving nearly 900 grams of gold, occurred between April and June. The accused exploited their positions of trust at the victim's residence.

Police in Navi Mumbai have launched an investigation following the registration of a theft case involving three female domestic helps. The women are accused of stealing gold jewellery, biscuits, and coins with an estimated value of Rs 85.5 lakh from a 64-year-old man's residence.
The theft reportedly occurred between April and June at the victim's home in the Nerul area. Leveraging the trust they had built in their employer's home, the accused allegedly made off with nearly 900 grams of gold jewellery and other valuables.
According to authorities, two of the accused resided in Nerul, while the third lived in the railway servants' quarters in neighboring Mumbai. The police have charged the women under section 306 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and efforts are underway to further the investigation.
