In an effort to address GST evasion, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has issued directives to enhance compliance and oversight. At a strategic meeting with officials from the Commercial Taxes department, CM Reddy pressed for robust measures to ensure all businesses meet their tax obligations.
The Chief Minister proposed the establishment of a call centre, leveraging Artificial Intelligence, to assist taxpayers in understanding GST requirements. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to facilitate easier compliance and improve taxpayer services, an official statement confirmed.
Additionally, officials have been instructed to evaluate effective tax practices from other states. This move aims to refine Telangana's tax strategies, ensuring they are both efficient and supportive of taxpayers, thereby strengthening the state's revenue system.
