Cross-Border Intrusion Thwarted in West Bengal

In a significant operation, seven Bangladeshi nationals, including four children, were captured by police in West Bengal's Nadia district. The apprehension took place at Baranberia Niralapara within the Dhantala police station's jurisdiction, reflecting ongoing security vigilance along the India-Bangladesh border.

The group, hailing from Baliadanga village in Bangladesh's Khulna district, had entered India two years back and settled in Ahmedabad. Their detainment occurred as they attempted to navigate back to Bangladesh through the Nadia border, indicating a possible breach of regional border protocols.

Authorities have registered a case at the Dhantala police station and launched extensive raids to locate other accomplices. The incident underscores the complex challenges of border security and the efforts being made to address unlawful crossings.
