Home Secretary Abhishek Singh expressed confidence in the initiative, noting that it will significantly strengthen Tripura's security measures.
Approved by Chief Minister Manik Saha, the STF will target organised crime, fundamentalism, cross-border crime, and drug trafficking, with leadership from an SP-rank officer under an IG or DIG's supervision. Singh emphasized the STF's role in ensuring internal security and expediting investigations for quicker justice.
