In a surprising turn of events, Microsoft Corp has restored its services, including crucial email access, to Nayara Energy, just ahead of a crucial hearing at the Delhi High Court. This development came as the oil giant sought legal recourse following Microsoft's service suspension due to EU-imposed sanctions against Russia.
The suspension was initially triggered after the EU included Nayara, backed by Russian oil giant Rosneft, in its sanctions list amid the ongoing Ukraine conflict. However, before the scheduled court appearance, Microsoft reinstated full access to all its services, including Microsoft Teams.
A spokesperson from Microsoft confirmed the development, emphasizing that the company remains committed to supporting its global customers.
