On Wednesday, a local court denied bail to the father of a juvenile involved in a fatal Porsche accident, despite claims concerning the medical condition of his 79-year-old mother. The court, led by Additional Sessions Judge K P Kshirsagar, cited concerns over possible witness tampering in its decision.
The father, a builder, argued that his elderly mother needed spine surgery and that his presence was crucial. However, the prosecution countered that the surgery was planned, suggesting family members could manage without him, and deemed the medical urgency exaggerated.
The court noted the suspect timing of health records, registered just one day before the bail plea, and observed that other relatives were available for support. It emphasized no immediate danger to the mother's life and highlighted serious concerns over potential evidence tampering within the ongoing case.
