On Wednesday, senior officials from Pakistan's defence and foreign policy sectors emphasized the necessity of expanding naval capabilities to address growing challenges. Speaking at a strategic affairs meeting hosted by the Maritime Centre of Excellence at the Pakistan Navy War College in collaboration with the Centre for International Strategic Studies (CISS), Vice Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Ovais Ahmed Bilgrami noted that an integrated, multi-domain security approach is essential.

Vice Admiral Bilgrami asserted that the Pakistan Navy remains committed to bolstering its strength to ensure peace and address emerging threats. The conference, attended by strategic experts, diplomats, and military personnel, delved into Pakistan's shifting security landscape, particularly its nuclear and maritime dimensions. 'Pakistan stands prepared to tackle future challenges and preserve regional stability,' remarked Maj Gen (R) Syed Shahab Shahid, leading Arms Control and Disarmament Affairs at Strategic Plans Division.

Rear Admiral Jawad Ahmed stressed the role of strategic communication, disruptive technologies, and new warfare domains in shaping the current security environment.
