A 25-year-old chartered accountant, Dheeraj Kansal, was found dead in a central Delhi hotel room, with police confirming suicide by helium inhalation. Investigations revealed Kansal had purchased a helium cylinder online from a company in Ghaziabad.

Kansal, working in Gurugram, checked into a guest house on July 24. A purchasing bill was found in his room alongside a suicide note disclosing loneliness since his father's death. His mother remarried, and he'd been raised by grandparents, leaving him feeling isolated.

Before his death, Kansal posted his intentions on social media, prompting his family to attempt contact. His demise, involving a gas hookup, was confirmed when hotel staff noticed his room untouched. Police explained that helium inhalation leads to fatal oxygen deprivation.
